* Eidetic Memory: Senku remembers everything, which is why he is essentially an encyclopedia of the modern world.

Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: Wings, halo, eyes that change colour with his emotions, and for a change, some sturdiness!
Role Reasoning: Despite the fact that Senku is the least conventional of Legends with his tsundere nature and his devious streak of being a total troll when the mood strikes him, he's at heart, a humanist. He believes in humanity as a collective and to that end each and every person is not only to be cherished and valued, but provides a unique set of skill that can be beneficial for the good of everyone. Senku has sacrificed thousands of years counting for an accurate date, and after he was up and running again he proceeds to sacrifice the rest of his life thus far to rescue each and every person who fell to the tragedy of the petrification, and he will not stop until he has rescued all 7.8 billion people. His invention of the revival fluid is the single most important invention in the history of mankind to ensure the survival of the species. His rescue count so far likely hovers somewhere between 4-5 billion people, worldwide.

★ Personality ★

OPTION 2 QUESTIONS (PICK 4-5) 100-300 WORD LIMIT EACH:

  • What was the most traumatic experience your character endured? How did this change them?

  • One would think that being turned into a statue, awake in total sensory deprivation would be the most traumatic of experiences for Senku, but that isn't true. The most traumatic experience happened after that. Senku found himself waking up on an empty, seemingly deserted planet. While that was not entirely true, that's what he believed. He would spend just over six months with zero social interaction at all while he fought tooth and nail to survive every day. During this time period, he had no comforts unless he made them. He needed to learn to make fire, catch food, build shelter and create clothing by hand with nothing but rocks and sticks at his disposal. It was a difficult time.

Prior to the collapse of civilization, Senku was not the most social person. He wasn't that friendly, he could be kind of a jerk. He was far more arrogant. He was far more willing to hold his intelligence above other people. He was namely, a typical teenager in a lot of ways. The experience deeply humbled him and made him far more inclined to reach out to people with some significant boundaries, but he finds himself no longer able to be alone for long periods of time. He experiences flashbacks and nightmares from this time. He learned that as smart as he is, it didn't mean anything when it came to the world ending. He became far more focused and determined, learning from each failure until he hit success.

  • What is the most important and defining relationship(s) in your character's life and why?

  • The most important relationship that Senku had was with his father, Byakuya Ishigami. Senku was not an easy kid to raise, for a lot of reasons, but Byakuya seemed to know where to meet him in the middle, and how to relate to his kid. The fact they aren't related by blood is not anything that he ever considered to be anything more than a footnote. Byakuya didn't try and temper Senku in any way or hamper his genius, but rather tried to instill some very basic rules and principles into him, such as being able to understand that fun is required for people. Relaxation and rest are incredible needs and it rubbed off on Senku in a big way.

Beyond this, not pushing Senku to do things in a more 'normal' way allowed him to flourish and blossom. He and Byakuya shared a deep love and trust and worked together as a team. Senku worked to get Byakuya into space, Byakuya worked to leave what he could behind, believing wholeheartedly that Senku would wake up and save the world one day - a belief that was not at all misplaced. Because of this approach which likely Byakuya got a lot of complaints about, Senku was able to feel safety and security in his home and family.

  • What is a headcanon (or two) you feel strongly about and that you prefer playing your character with? How is this supported in canon and why do you think it benefits the character's story?

  • I think it's very notable that Senku is extremely hard coded as autistic. It's not subtle, he doesn't mask it very well, if at all, and he demonstrates symptoms that are beyond just the basic impressions of someone on the spectrum. Yes, Senku does not pick up on social cues, and he needs to be reminded of things like scheduling and that people need to stop working for the day. He also has sensory issues, can stand very little touch, hyperfixates to the extreme, can't tolerate people in his personal space, rarely makes eye contact and is extremely reckless - without understanding how his behaviour affects people. It always surprises him. He can't predict how people will react to what he says and does and when he worries them it's always bewildering to him.

They don't call it this by name, but rather characters just decide 'Senku is Senku'. That goes for all the social norms that he completely threw out including honourifics, gender roles, the rules around politeness...it's as though he was given the chance to dump anything he didn't care to understand and the world is not worse off for it. It's only in the most recent of years that these social norms are back and he's forced to adhere to them, but honestly he doesn't understand it. The village benefits from his hyperfixations and knowledge, he's done some truly incredible, amazing things. He gets help in the areas in which he's weak and as a character who could be considered flawed in some other series - he rises to the occasion and, most importantly, is accepted for being who he is.

It's truly an impressive depiction as someone who is very likely on the spectrum who shines, is incredibly capable and is even charismatic - even if it doesn't look like how everyone else would do it.

  • What is your character's moral code? Do they have one? Why or why not?

  • Senku has a very strict moral code, albeit one that surrounds what rules he thinks make sense and what rules don't. He had no problem hacking into the university supercomputer to do his calculations, because he didn't see there being any harm to doing that - but when it comes to matters of assault or murder, he's strictly against those things. He also thinks taking resources for the greater good is just as moral an action, despite the way he may step on toes in the process.

It can cause friction with others, but he mainly operates under what he believes is right and will actively campaign to change the minds of those around him who have a problem with it. He's not above bribery to get what he wants and the benefit to being Senku, is that he can essentially make anyone anything they want. It didn't take any arm twisting to get him to agree that murder was to be forbidden and this rule was strictly adhered to throughout the rest of the series, no matter what they were up against.

And yet, this high level overview also allowed him to make the call to ask people to temporarily toss their lives aside for him in an effort to lose the battle to win the war. They did win, it was a calculated risk that happened to pay off - but it's a call most people would not make. Senku is not afraid to make those kinds of massive, impactful decisions, which was partly what made him such a good leader.

  • Is your character capable of forgiveness or will they hold a grudge until they die? Would anything ever make them change their mind?

  • It's worse - Senku is completely incapable of holding a grudge, even if it's so very well deserved. Senku is not very good at expressing his emotions. He has them, he's not a robot, but he has a very deep well of patience and self-control. He chooses completely to not act on emotions such as anger or despair because he doesn't understand the point. Yelling when he's angry might feel better, but what does it accomplish?

This leaves Senku in a position of forgiving everything. As long as someone is not actively killing him, he's perfectly fine with them, even if ten minutes before they tried to murder him. He even forgave Whyman for petrifying him for thousands of years. He's more interested in understanding why than being angry about it. It's another social interaction he doesn't quite understand. He can't fathom why anyone would hold a grudge and hang onto anger when it's a waste of time and is entirely unproductive.

It really does appear that there's nothing that can be done to Senku that would change his mind on this, he seems rather intent on offering total, unconditional forgiveness.

    Character: Dr. Senku Ishigami
    Canon: Post-canon
    Age: 3752 / appears 27

    Background Information: Wiki Link

Personality: Senku is an incredibly deeply determined and tenacious individual. He works nearly tirelessly day in and day out on whatever has captured his attention. Even as a child, he was defined by his hyperfixation, determination and innovation. He could be seen as having grown up spoiled, considering how much his father doted on him and gave him every opportunity to flex his intelligence, but despite that Senku is far too humble for his own good. His primary philosophy in life is humanism. He believes in the collective strength of humanity, and to that end he rarely takes credit for his own work to the extent he should. He often says 'we did' as opposed to 'I did'. He sees people as having intrinsic value. He believes every person, no matter how old they are, or what their skillsets are, offer something of value. It's one of the things that draws people to him.

An introvert by nature, Senku finds large gatherings to be rather tiresome and he avoids them when he can. He would be far happier sitting on his own or with a trusted confidante then attending a party. He was rather anti-social as a child, but after the traumatic experience of being in the wilderness alone for six months he no longer finds solitude to be a comfort. He might want space to breathe, but he will likely stay within earshot of someone else. What he experienced, being alone in total deprivation, the counting and the solitude when he broke free has left mental scars on him. He is prone to occasional panic attacks and nightmares.

Senku's mind runs a mile a minute and works a lot like a computer. He partitions various functions when he's not actively fixating on something. One partition is continuous counting. He can no longer stop it. To that end, Senku is incredibly accurate as a timekeeper without needing a watch. He does all of that while doing the other executive functions of what he processes. He also partitions his emotions. Senku can often be accused of being unemotional, or too rational. It is not that he doesn't have emotions - he just has excellent self-control. He doesn't tend to act on emotion. He could be actively furious but acting out of anger to him serves no tangible purpose, so he tries to let it go.

He is far, far too forgiving, to his detriment. There appears to be nothing that anyone can do to Senku that he will not brush aside in the spirit of moving forward. People have killed him and been forgiven. He forgave the AI that petrified him, in the spirit of cooperation. It has backfired on him before, and yet he'd rather let the past stay in the past when it comes to personal conflict.

Senku does not like to be touched. He recoils from people who attempt to embrace him, whether they respect his boundaries or not is another question. Because he understands that people want some gesture of camaraderie he will offer instead the odd fistbump or punch on the arm, but the most coveted method of affection are his high fives. The only person he allows in his personal space without complaint is Asagiri Gen.

Social conventions are not something that Senku enjoys, understands or follows when he can get away with it. He no longer has a sense of shame after spending some months mostly nude. He wears and prefers gender ambiguous clothing, and did up until he was expected to present himself in a professional manner at the lab. He rarely stands on ceremony, people are lucky if even gives his last name, nevermind any of his titles. That said, at work he must behave professionally and command international respect and so he follows more expectations.

He cares deeply for children and sees the village as his family - which is good, because his father is one of the few that actually will remain dead from the entire ordeal and he would've been alone otherwise. He sees Suika as family, and his village rope bears red threading because she gave it to him. The red ties them together officially as family. He never would've considered himself a person who would get along with kids, but somehow they like him.

Despite his good intentions, his mischievous side allows for him to come across as horribly misunderstood at times, partly because he can be very literal, and also because he finds great interest in things that sound incredibly shady. He's a schemer, he can be quite the troll, especially paired with Asagiri Gen. The two of them together are trouble, and they have no qualms about messing with people who can certainly take it, for their own amusement. He can take what he dishes out though, he sees anything reciprocated as a challenge.

Senku can be very charismatic, despite not coming across that way initially. He doesn't speak flowery words (he has Gen for that) but he tends to win people over by proving his worth. He nearly unfailingly speaks the truth, no matter how insane it might sound. He sets himself goals and always meets them. Betting on Senku is an incredibly safe bet.

    Abilities & Inventory:

Inventory: Senku is wearing a tattered blue cape, a labcoat, a dress shirt, tie, dress pants, a belt, dress shoes and his village rope.

Senku has no magical abilities, whatsoever.

Intelligence: Senku has a genius level of intelligence, and could probably quite rightfully claim the title of smartest man on Earth. He wouldn't, but he could. He also has an eidetic memory.

Encyclopedic Knowledge: He's a walking encyclopedia of all of the hard sciences including: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Meteorology, Botany, Geology, Food Science, Cartography and he's pioneering time travel. He knows quite a bit about psychology, despite the fact he isn't a big fan of the field. He's dabbled in mythologies, religions and cryptography.

Languages: Senku is fluent in Japanese and English and has some degree of fluency in Russian. He's also fluent in Morse Code and the Iroha Cipher.

Engineering: Aside from the fact he's invented and re-invented countless items, he's gained skills in things like pottery making, baking and glass blowing. There is really nothing that Senku can't make given enough time and the materials.

Hacking/Programming: Something he's done more in his youth than anything, he notably hacked into a supercomputer at the age of 9, as well as modified his laptops and computers with software of his own making.

Medicine: Senku acted as the sole doctor for the village for roughly a decade. Prior to that he'd done many internships all around the world as part of his high school education. He has the skills of a general practitioner and a general surgeon.

Other skills: Leadership skills, clothes making, card shark and cheat.

Dreamotion aspirations: Given access to magic? Senku is going to study the heck out of it. He's going to attempt to learn as much as possible, and become as proficient as he can without a singular focus, much like his very chaotic scientific learning. To this end because he's coming at it from a place of no magic, he's likely going to struggle at the beginning and over time he will hopefully be able to focus on this and learn a wide variety of skills.

Suitability & Plans: Senku's story in canon has finished, and while he does have a project on the go he's not nearly as stressed as he used to be. There's room for more than just his work and keeping his people safe. I'd like to explore what he can do outside of the need to be so responsible. Letting him study the magic and try and understand and master dreamotion will give him the necessary project to keep him rather happy with his dreamself. He's a very versatile character who has restarted his life once before and he will really enjoy blending the realm of fantasy with what he considers to be his scientific truth. He's likely going to take a look at things like the electricity improvement and probably suggest and make motions towards developing Reverein. Honestly, he's probably the guy if there's anyone who wants to organize some kind of development in the city.

    Test Drive Sample: TDM Link

Questions: Is there any kind of dreamotion type that would be off-limits? (Aside from blowing up the place in one shot, like I don't know, manipulating time, illusions, that kind of thing.)

    → CHARACTER INFO

    Character Name: Senku Ishigami
    Age: 3760 (appears 33)
    Canon: Dr. STONE
Canon point: End of manga - chapter 232.
History: Science is a long, hard road.
    Personality:
Determined - Senku has an internal fortitude that is nearly unmatched by anyone else, that has survived more than three millennia. From every single step from the first chapter to the last, his resolve and determination have carried him through. He began with countin the seconds for over 3700 years, not missing a beat, so he could determine the date when he became ambulatory again. He began nude in the woods and has, with a lot of help, built civilization from the stone age to the modern age with no faltering in his resolve to do so. He encountered many struggles. Many people attempted to stop or assassinate him. He pushed forward to find success. His current accomplishments are not enough. He has saved billions of people but not enough of them. Not all of them. Senku will spend the rest of his life in an effort to account for every member of the 7.6 billion people to be alive and accounted for.

Protective Humanist - Senku follows the principles of humanism. He believes strongly in the abilities of people and has supreme faith in the human race to solve human problems. He demonstrates a protective streak by first wanting to save every single human who was subject to the petrification disaster. He's optimistic and sees intrinsic value in every person. He believes people who have different strengths and abilities can be useful. Despite being a child, when Suika volunteers to help, he accepts her without question. Every member of his village has a task they are suited for. He demonstrates mercy towards his enemies when defeating them in combat. He's not interested in revenge, no, he's far more interested in encouraging them to use their skills for a greater cause, one that involves saving all of humanity. He actively encourages a community where trust is given and one that believes in rehabilitation over punishment. He refuses to adminster any punishments for anyone who wronged him, but rather roped them into his world saving schemes.

Early on, when Tsukasa presses him on the fact the Earth is overpopulated and some of these people will starve, Senku responds simply that every one of those seven billion people just need to come together and find a solution that will work. He admires the deep scientific thinkers of the the past and believes in sharing knowledge for the benefit of humanity as a whole. This is demonstrated both with his constant teaching of the villagers, and the fact that by the end he is collaborating with scientists worldwide, all working together on a common goal of making things better for every society. He believes everyone should help each other, evidenced by everything he does for the village to make their lives better. His actions significantly decreased mortality rates and allowed for the expansion and innovation of science.

Deeply Compassionate - Despite what Senku says, mostly because he finds over acts of affection to be awkward or embarrassing, he's a deeply compassionate person. His strong love for humanity is what drives his humanist ideals. As a child, a single thought experiment about what would happen if biological weapons were unleashed led him to a conclusion that he needed to focus on and learn medicine - so he could save people. Upon meeting Kohaku and learning that her sister is sick, he makes the re-creation of antibiotics to be the supreme concern for the time being. He didn't know either of them. Over the course of the series, as the only doctor he has been required to treat the living humans as they were all his patients. This extended without question to his enemy Tsukasa, when Hyoga attempted to kill him. He often makes excuses that seem self-beneficial when really he's trying to do something nice for others. He installed heating in the huts under the guise of needing the tar that was left over. This allowed for villagers to have a warm refuge and warm meals instead of deaths from exposure. He created a vehicle large enough to travel to the Kingdom of Might because he knew that the older villagers could not walk the 80 kilometre distance. He focuses on more food production after hearing that starvation is very much a problem in the village. He can seem distant, but he has everyone's best interests at heart and he can feel some deep, very real guilt. He felt guilty over involving the village in their first conflict, and he felt just as guilty for lying to people to avoid bloodshed. Especially when they discovered that America was in fact, not fine and thriving like he'd said at the time. He claims that the ends can justify the means at times, but that's a lie. He's always looking for a third option when presented with two choices.

Socially Awkward / Blunt - Senku can be incredibly socially awkward and blunt, to a point that could be off-putting if one didn't know him. There's never any malice or upset in his bluntness, at most one could get sarcasm out of him. It can take people a good deal of time to warm up to him, but once they realize that's just how he is things go much better. In low stake matters, any woman that flirts with him gets shut down immediately. He's very blunt that he's not interested. Nikki saying she could fall for him simply has him saying 'please don't'. He is a horrible negotiator. His tactic for negotiation is simply tell him what they want and he'll give it to them. He has no patience at all for nuance or discussion. He prefers things to be said in the quickest manner. Gen demostrates his frustration with this constantly. He alludes to them having several discussions on the matter. He's not overly attuned to the feelings of others. A girl trying to flirt with him and ask him what kind of girl he likes gets an answer like 'a woman who can power a forge'. When Kohaku gives him a hug, he allows it but doesn't respond. He doesn't like physical touch or people crowding him to the point he's relented and allowed for high fives and fist bumps. Every time Taiju tries to hug him, he ducks and often retaliates by punching his best friend. These simple gestures of light affection are highly coveted because he's so awkward, that if he's making the effort to give high fives out it's a reward for a job well done. The most likely response to expressing one's feelings to Senku is to be met with silence as he doesn't really know how to address that, and heartfelt compliments he complains are cringy.

Recklessness/Impulse Control - Senku can be very reckless in the name of science, and part of that is due to poor impulse control. Although it may seem contradictory to his steadfast determination and concentration, his recklessness and impulses tend to feed into his other traits. Some of his bluntness comes from the inability to control his impulse to get things done, especially surrounding negotiations. If he can give them what they want, why shouldn't he? It's just faster. He claims not to be self-sacrificial and he certainly intends not to be, but he was completely ready to take a one way trip to the moon and left to his likely demise to save humanity. While he isn't ready to die for the cause, he's very ready to take risks and he would risk himself above everyone else.. He allowed Tsukasa to kill him very early on to test a hypothesis that the petrification had healing properties. He also learned further how the petrification worked on Treasure Island by throwing the fluid up in the air to splash back and stop the petrification process, using himself as a test subject. Senku demontrated both by asking Whyman to negotiate alone, something excessively dangerous, and said talks broke down mainly because he just wanted to ask about their futuristic technology that he didn't understand. He couldn't help himself. His deep, innate desire to seek knowledge sometimes makes him seem oblivious to how others feel because he can't seem to help himself. Even in the past, as a child, the persuit of knowledge was what he focused on during class time and it made him openly disruptive because he couldn't help but blurt out something he was studying.

Suitability: Senku would be cooperative for a few reasons. While he does not believe in the supernatural as a baseline, he'd be fascinated by living proof that there are supernatural happenings. He's also worked within an apocalypse-like setting, and he's far more interested in seeking the truth than just wandering off and ignoring the problems. Beyond that, just because these humans are not his humans, it doesn't mean he isn't interested in saving them all.

Powers/Abilities: Hold on tight, we're in for a ride.

Senku has no supernatural powers, but he does have a lot of mundane skills and abilities.

    Innate:

Intelligence: Senku is vastly intelligent. He's the kind of person who can blow an IQ test right out of the water and never look back. Notably the most intelligent character in the series, it's demonstrated on a constant basis. Aside from raw memory, his capacity for analysis allows for serious development and innovation.

Eidetic memory: Senku has the ability not just to apply what he's read but remember it with precise detail, an impressive feat considering the textbooks and journals he read were well over 3700 years ago.

Supreme discipline/concentration: Senku is able to hyperfocus on anything he finds interesting or even just critical to what he needs to know. The best application of this was when petrified and meant to be in stasis, Senku's mind remained active as he counted each second for thousands of years so he would know what the date was when he was back on his feet.

    Acquired:

Medical: Senku has the skills of a general practitioner/general surgeon. He has a vast knowledge of anatomy and treaments, both in Eastern and Western medicine. He can diagnose problems, perform procedures and even talk people through surgery if he must. He was the only doctor, and he had approximately 150-200 patients for some time between 6-10 years before he retired, finally replaced.

Scientific Disciplines: Scoffing at the "soft sciences", Senku has studied each of the 'hard' sciences extensively including chemistry, biology, physics, geology, medicine, cosmology, astronomy, botony, meteorology, oceanograpy and ecology. Not just the disciplines themselves, but the entire history of how each technological development came to pass, and how to innovate for a sustainable future. He is spearheading the post-2019 scientific world and looking to develop the scientific disciplines of the future. He is the lead scientist studying the parasitic AI, the petrification phenomenon and the cure which he developed. His current project in development is in the foundation of time travel.

Survival Skills: One can drop Senku naked in the woods and he'll build you a modern civilization. He can start a fire, make tools, provide food, water and make a shelter as well as means of protection. He uses his scientific knowledge to identify plants and trees he can use. He can also make traps to deal with animals, and he can fish. Lastly, he can craft clothing and pottery so it would be a semi-comfortable camping trip by the time he's done.

Invention/Innovation: Senku falls heavier on the innovation side of things. He isn't the type to come up with a ton of inventions, but rather fine tune things to fix specific problems. That is not to say he can't invent things, he's invented a TENS suit for swimming training, the revival fluid and is working on a time machine, but he's more task-oriented over being wildly creative.

Languages: Senku is completely fluent in both Japanese and English. It is extremely highly probable he has some proficiency in Russian. Senku is proficient in several cyphers as well, most notably Morse code and Uesugi code system.

Mathematics: Senku can't just do high level mathematics, he can do it in his head. This includes complex formulae for physics purposes. He can compete fairly well in basic PEMDAS against a calculator, to a certain point. Anything else he can do on paper, unless it requires a super computer. It's not instant, the more complex it is, it might take him a minute.

Engineering: Senku can design, create and repair just about anything in his knowledge base. He can work with wood, metal, glass, electric components, even rocket fuel. He's created far too many things to list, including a variety of vehicles, buildings, rockets, medical supplies...These skills include an ability for technical drawing, meaning he's a decent artist when he wants to be.

Technology: He can not only create and design computer components from scratch, but he can also code and hack, demonstrated by his ability to hack into the university's super computer at nine years old.

Leadership: He has a unique style of leadership where the protection of his people is paramount to anything else, and he strongly values community and making sure everyone has a place in it. He's a very strong delegator, and defers to people who know more on a given subject than him. Not the most demonstrative, his most coveted display of affection is a high five. He holds a great deal of authority and sway, thanks to his knowledgeable position. He is very highly respected and well-liked, and most of all he's willing to make the most difficult decisions.

Other: Senku has honed a variety of other skills including cooking, navigation and sewing. He's also an excellent and patient teacher, to the point that Gen comments he missed when Senku explained things to him. He has the ability to break concepts down and build a person's knowledge up from the first step. He has horribly awful luck, notoriously so. He also has an inability to hold a grudge which means he forgives any slight against him, and extends friendship instead. This strange ability is foundational to the series without being actually magically based.

The only skill that likely requires nerfing is possibly hacking. He has not cracked time travel yet, nor will he have his pet AI due to a restriction on futuristic technology. If there is anything of concern in his abilities, please let me know.

Entity Affinity: Possible choices for future affinity:

The Eye: An affinity that Senku would be drawn to for his unquenchable thirst for knowledge to begin with. He desires to know everything about the world around him and the intricacies of how everything works. He would use his trusting nature to his advantage by extending it to an intended victim in an effort to get them to share information with him. His vast wealth of knowledge will help him seem like a credible authority. Watching people and observing them is not out of the question, even to the point they may feel uncomfortable - and yet Senku would probably be oblivious to this. He would feed his patron without effort, or perhaps intent.

The Vast: Senku does not have this fear, but he can induce it in others unintentionally. Senku talks often about the vastness of the universe and how insignificant he is - while accepting his own accomplishments. Anyone who hasn't done what he has would feel if he's insignificant, then what might they be? Like the other affinity, Senku wouldn't do it intentionally, but he would probably do it frequently. He's a strong advocate for sustainable living and the powerful natural forces that could bring about destruction in the face of puny humans.

Inventory: A crisp white labcoat, a lavender paisley tie, a pale blue button down shirt, black slacks, a leather belt, black loafers. A cape with a leather clasp. A rope anklet. Hooked into his belt, at his back, is a survival knife in a leather pouch. Clipped inside the pocket of his labcoat is his ID. He has a black leather wallet, with dragos inside. His other pocket has a pair of energy bars wrapped in wax paper instead of packaging. In the front pocket, he has two pens.

    CHARACTER
    Name: Dr. Senku
    True Name: Senku Ishigami
Canon: Dr. STONE (end of series)
    Age: 3760 (appears approximately 33)
History: He was a brilliant kid.

    Powers/Abilities: The list is long.

Autodidact: Senku is a lifelong, independent learner. If there's a skill he doesn't know, but somehow needs, or something he needs to perfect he's very interested in learning what he needs to know. He will learn something even if it won't become his primary task anytime soon, if he wants the knowledge.

If he had an actual magic power it would be friendship, built on forgiveness. There is nothing one can do to Senku that he will not forgive and dismiss as long as one stops doing it, including petrifying him for thousands of years as part of a misunderstanding, or attempting to assassinate him. He does not hold a grudge. He also has a near inhuman ability to offer trust, that has not nearly backfired on him enough yet.

Inventory: Senku only has what he was wearing on his back. This includes dress pants, a button down shirt, a tie, a labcoat, loafers, a tattered cape with a rope clasp, and a bit of rope that serves as anklet.

It should be noted that Senku resigned as the Leader of the Kingdom of Science in 5750, and still retains the titles of Chieftain, Doctor and General. Prior to 5750 he was merely addressed as 'Senku' (despite holding several titles), but has been addressed as Dr. Senku by those who don't know him ever since.

    Suppressions:

Emotions: Senku is well known for not being an overly expressive person. Whether he feels positively or negatively about someone, or just feeling a certain way in general, he always presents an outwardly even, stoic expression. While he does tend to demonstrate things like excitement or interest, he definitely does not express things like fondess for others or even anger. This was pointed out when his best friend remarked he'd never seen him get angry, to which Senku replied of course he was angry, there was just no point in doing anything with that. It was unproductive. Despite his reserved nature, with enough time people can read things like fondness and compassion out of him despite the fact he claims otherwise. Success level: Excellent

Grief: One emotion that Senku occasionally allows to leak through, when alone or in the presence of very select people is grief. Despite the fact his father who was his only family, died a very long time ago, he feels significant grief when he realizes this is the case. This grief is heavy and lingering and he's not gotten over it. When he finds crumbs left behind by Byakuya or finds cause to mention him he does without managing to express this aspect. It's potentially likely that he would never quite get over it entirely, no matter how old he gets. Success level: Mixed

Guilt: An emotion he's been called out on - albeit from Gen, so it doesn't really count - is the level of guilt he feels upon involving innocent people in his ideological conflict. It began with the conflict with Tsukasa and the uninvolved village, although he tried to reason that the conflict would inevitably happen anyway. He often felt at that time that things would be easier for the village if he was not involved. He also demonstrated and expressed guilt for instilling hope in others that could never be met in saying America was prospering and doing well to avoid warfare. It's a heavy weight he carried especially when they got to America and saw what they all knew - Senku had lied. It's caused him to trip up and hesitate at times, but by not carrying the weight alone he's able to continue forward. At present, he feels unsatisfied if not a little guilty that he has yet to manage saving every human. Success level: Moderate

Impulses: Away from strict emotions alone, Senku has well known impulse control issues. He can be reckless in the pursuit of science, and in things like negotiations he doesn't have the patience for nuance and word play. It helps that he can essentially make anything anyone could possibly want, which gives him a much broader brush to negotiate with. When it came time to negotiate with Whyman instead of doing that, he found himself asking scientific-based questions because he couldn't sit on the impulse to deal with the other thing first. He does make some overtures and efforts, particularly when Gen is babysitting him, but inevitably he always breaks. Success level: Abysmal

    Greatest Fear
: Being alone on the planet with no one around, isolation. This fear is strong enough to induce a panic attack.

Greatest Desire: Senku's entire life to this point has been the pursuit of unknown knowledge. This is a never-ending desire he's constantly trying to sate.

Greatest Regret: He has yet to save all seven billion people on the planet, any that were lost due to the breakage of statues and the weather damage have yet to be saved. It's his driving motivation. He doesn't see the percentage rescued as being enough.

    Character Name: Senku Ishigami
    Character Age: 3739 (looks 20)
    Canon: Dr. Stone
Canon Point: Chapter 140, CRAU: After the May 2021 mission in Voidtrecker.

    History/World: World History
    Personal History
Voidtrecker - The Story So Far

CRAU Personal History: Senku notably arrived in the month of Grasshopper. He first left the train during the Healing Waters event, which was meant to be a relaxing experience. Unable to relax, he set to work preparing himself his standard toolset and beginning his trend of foraging for materials wherever he happened to find himself. He was plagued by a memory share event and left the island with a psychic bond to Eva Iden'no. Asagiri Gen arrived in Horseshoe. Notably the Adventure On mission, Senku got a reputation for pestering wildlife when he had a disagreement with the Huma birds.

In Imagination, Not With A Bang mission found Senku in unexpected combat, and he suffered serious injury. This was the first world where he removed his protective device which was the catalyst to him making it into his pet project to try and understand just what these wrist bands were monitoring, the scope of what they could do. Using himself as a sacrifice for potential repercussions, he caused friction with some of his teammates going forward in his drive to return home. Some friends presented themselves as allies, while others scolded him.

Jelly brought the Fierce New World mission. This was the first mission that Senku actively hated, and a trend towards missions that removed his ability to gather food and supplies for himself and the train. Senku found himself in combat, albeit it was digital combat, meaning that the powers he was gifted through the digital world allowed him not to only survive the experience unscathed, but actually do fairly well. This reignited his drive and curiosity towards magic, and notably, the shop was incredibly generous in gifting him with a mathematically based magic system that he could actually learn.

The Will To Fight, the Kazoo mission, was nothing less than an unmitigated disaster. Senku and Gen both removed their security devices early on and were completely swept up in an illusion for the majority of the mission, not just to their detriment but causing a problem for their teammates. His guilt fueled his recklessness and he made attempts to assist in the final battle through attempting to circumvent the fighting, however the pair were spotted and Gen was seriously injured. Gen extorted a promise that from then on, Senku would use him as a test subject instead of sacrificing himself, in his belief that Senku could fix any problem they came across and therefore he needed to be protected. This led to a lot of tension between the pair and their teammates, going both ways because Senku also felt let down that they didn't have his back.

Late in Kazoo, Senku and Gen married during a small gathering they orchestrated.

Llama brought the mission What Their Eyes See, which in turn, also brought more illusions. His work with his allies paid off, he was able to speak to Anan, a contact from outside the train and he was able to gather the very basics of void travel that the train has been so reluctant to tell them. In the spirit of community and cooperation, Senku attempted to share this information with fellow train denizens but was thoroughly disappointed when he faced backlash for daring to suggest the train had kidnapped them, and may not have great intentions. Senku found himself disheartened and discouraged by the fact that it seems a majority of people are perfectly fine with everything as it is when all he wants to do is go home.

Personality: Senku is a very pragmatic, logically minded individual. He has very little use or desire for sentimentality. At times, however, he slips. This is probably demonstrated best with his relationship with his father. Byakuya understood Senku very well. When given the opportunity to call him from space, he refused because Senku wouldn't be interested in idle chit chat. Senku also didn't attend the launch of his father into space, although he did watch him on TV where he promised he'd bring him back a souvenir from his travels. The recording left behind for Senku had a moment where Byakuya began a sentence like he was going to tell him something sentimental and cut it off exclaiming: "That kind of parental sentiment is so not your style, so let's get down to business." Senku laughed gleefully that Byakuya understood him.

One could be mistaken for thinking he was cold, or perhaps their relationship was distant, but that couldn't be further from the truth. He benefited from Byakuya's unconditional support and a few life lessons, and he supported him in turn. When he discovered the reason Byakuya was rejected from JAXA in the first place, he worked hard to design a way for his father to learn how swim in his clothes and pass the test. While his methods did not work, his unwavering support allowed Byakuya to go for it. When Ruri tells Senku the 100 stories, the final one was a message to him personally, about the gift left for him which was the people in the village. In this moment, alone at his grave, he cried and thanked him for the gift, regardless of the fact he'd died a few thousand years before.

While he often is not sentimental, Senku does care about the people around him. He doesn't try and connect with people on an emotional level, and at times he outright rejects such a discussion, such as when his best friend Taiju excitedly tells him he's ready to confess to the girl he likes. Although phrased sarcastically initially, when he didn't get it, he outright said he wasn't the least bit interested in that. However, he does show he cares through the practical side of things. Scientific advancements allow for him to feed people much more diverse foods, and to bring heating into their homes to allow for a much easier winter. Gestures like those allow other people to have faith in Senku's leadership.

Senku is an unconventional leader. He's less likely to offer stirring motivational speeches that appeal to the feelings of the inhabitants, but rather he offers a look at possibility and opportunity. He demonstrates how he can improve their lives, rather than how to make them feel better. He sounds like an innovator, a dreamer to those who don't know better. At times, people have been very skeptical of him, but every time he delivers he sways people's opinions in his direction. There's a touch of 'mad scientist' to his method, outlandish seeming declarations, but Senku always backs it up with a comprehensive road map regardless of how long that road map may be. From anyone else, such declarations would be seen as madness, such as his current venture, to travel from the Earth to the Moon in this dystopian future. While people still react and consider him to be kind of mad, they also believe in him because of his ability to deliver.

His blunt manner of speaking sometimes leads to misunderstandings. He isn't always considerate, which can lead others to get annoyed with him, especially if they don't understand him or know it's not personal. When he gets excited about something that seems unusual to others, like a deadly chemical, it's very easy to misunderstand his intentions.

Despite all of his pragmatism, he's an idealist. He has faith in humanity and intends to revive every member of the human race, all 7.8 billion of them. He's steadfast in this ideology, and has fought a war to keep Tsukasa from culling the herd. It is likely that it's less because they're human, and more because the challenge is incredibly appealing.

He can maintain friendships as long as he surrounds himself with people who understand he's not into doublespeak and most likely won't show an interest in their personal lives.

CRAU Developments: Both his positive and negative traits have been amplified on this journey. His sense of loyalty and protection has been severly ramped up as he sees his teammates, and by extension the rest of the train, as more people he needs to protect and provide for. Initially he was trying to make himself seem useful when surrounded by people who had magic powers and a lot more combat-oriented skills, but over time he feels genuine affection for those around him. He makes a point to get to know everyone he can, and providing for them when the leadership is too disorganized to handle that, he's found a niche. Still not an extrovert, he also can't sit idly and talking to people serves as a good distraction when his projects can be limited.

Senku has discovered boredom, and he does not care for it. Unlike most people on the train, he maintains a job in the medical car and is at present, the only mundane doctor on board. The fact he isn't a magical powerhouse gets him overlooked in this department, but if illness were ever to strike, it would be right in his wheelhouse. He's tapped into his creativity, and found projects he can do without the foundational buildings he normally has, such as his forge. He's created weapons and tools for people, as well as blankets and winter coats. All of the idle time leaves him restless. He still dreams of exploring the stars one day, after all in space, no one can hear you scream..

On the negative side, his reckless nature has not been reined in at all. He doesn't have the support system he does in the village, where other people will help pick up the slack, and as such he's constantly running headlong into danger because no one else is willing to do so. He finds himself missing the supportive and community nature of home as much as anything else. Senku learned relatively early on that he couldn't leave his things out for community sharing or they might disappear. He doesn't like distrusting his fellow trainmates, but that's the position he finds himself in. He remains forever happy to share anything he has on his person, but he keeps them hidden in his arms band or his room.

The shift of coming from his post-apocalyptic world to this modern version of the train has been a bit of a culture shock in some ways. He finds the synthetic clothing to be nearly unbearably uncomfortable, especially the boots and the pants. He appreciates the abundance of food, comfortable bed and hot showers the best. He dislikes the clothes and being trapped on the train the most. He is constantly pushing himself to learn new things to avoid that pesky boredom and because he's always been an autodidact. His husband has been rather supportive of him finding clothing that he doesn't find terribly uncomfortable and match much closer to his canon outfit, both all the time and on missions, finding him wearing an assortment of kilts, tunics and skirts to match his loose tops.

No one has ever mentioned Senku's clothing choices to him (in canon or otherwise), he's never been asked his opinion on the matter. Mostly, he's decided he's too old not to do what he wants, and since nobody cares he doesn't have to consider the implications that his gender presentation is ambiguous.

Items: Head to toe: A rope tied in his hair in the Ishigami Village style, pulling it up into a ponytail. A platinum necklace that matches his husband's. His canon leather tunic. A beautiful, delicate looking bracelet that also matches his husband's. An Arms Band in the form of a ring on his right ring finger. A utility belt with several leather pouches. His tool pouch presently includes a small bone axe, a bone knife and a bow drill. The other pouches contain a few odds and ends like a pen and pencil, a small packet of a few bites of bear jerky, and one low-level healing potion. A second utility belt with a single pouch on it, this one much more modern containing a pokeball.

The low-level healing potion is from Final Fantasy X canon, and heals a small amount of health.

The pokeball is a dream ball, and contains a level 5 shiny Espurr, a male, named Orion. He was gifted by Eva Iden'no. She is from a 'realistic' pokemon AU, meaning that Orion will evolve on his own when he reaches maturity into a Meowstic. He also learns abilities through maturity and practice, instead of "levelling up" in the traditional way. Orion knows the moves: Leer, Scratch, Confusion, Charm and Fake Out. Orion is only a few months old and is still very much a kitten, just old enough to begin training and combat and Senku is a novice pokemon trainer. He recognizes people through gentle psychic touch to their minds, akin to a gentle tap. Orion's hobbies include knocking things off of shelves, getting tangled in Senku's thread when he's sewing and floating around in the air.

The Arms Band grants the user access to a pocket of hammerspace. Limitations include: You have to remember what you put into it, or it's lost forever. It holds three melee weapons, and one projectile weapon. One must place one piece of ammo for a projectile weapon inside. The Arms Band will turn it into its best possible form and will allow for unlimited ammo in a projectile weapon stored in the band. There is no limitation on the number non-combat items placed into it. Senku does share this item with Gen.

    Contents of the Arms Band

Powers/skills: Senku has exactly zero powers in canon, he's an incredibly normal human. However, Senku has a great deal of skills he brings to the table. Senku's intelligence and knowledge is incredibly high. He's a walking science textbook. His eidetic memory has allowed him to retain and memorize knowledge unlike 99.9% of people. He's studied diligently chemistry, engineering, physics, biology, mathematics, geology and knows how to apply them all. He understand science to the degree he knows every component of everything he knows to the molecule. He has a doctorate level mastery of all the STEM fields - theoretically. All of his practical applications have come through trial and error and very hard work.

His high intelligence and analytical mind allows him to be good at tactics, planning and foresight. He's rarely without some kind of contingency plan. He is confirmed to be fluent Japanese and English, so he's a least bilingual. It seems incredibly likely he also speaks Russian, as he was studying to be a candidate for the astronaut program.

Senku also studied a great deal of medicine. As a teenager, after a distressing conversation with his mentor, he made it his goal to know as much as he could. He traveled to various internships around the world, it's suggested there were eleven of them although only the one in Africa to study Ebola was the only one given any detail. He has demonstrated in canon a comprehensive knowledge of both Western and Eastern medicine as far as treatments go, he's created antibiotics, pain killers and nausea medication, performed surgery, treated a wide variety of wounds and directed surgery on himself. He has been a practicing doctor for roughly four and a half years.

He is capable of using science to create gadgets from the very basic blocks, as inelegant as they are at first, they work. He doesn't have the finesse of a craftsman naturally, but he has learned a great deal from Kaseki in that department which has only improved his skills further. He works incredibly hard, and is willing to put forth the effort for the eventual payoff. He's incredibly focused. He kept track of the passing of time by counting for the entire 3700 years or so. He can also multitask this, something he discovered when he was a child, without losing count of a single second. This skill has come surprisingly in handy in many mathematical calculations. He can do extremely high level mathematics calculations in his head.

Senku is a very competent cook and he makes everything from scratch. Food is often his go to for parts of experiments to test various methods. He's also competent at clothing construction as he makes all of his own clothes normally.

In exchange for the intelligence and focus on knowledge, his stamina and physicality is extremely low for a regular modern teenager. He seems to get physically exhausted quickly and short of breath throughout most of the excursions they undertake. He's not strong - he can't carry nearly as much as other people can either.

Senku has extremely bad luck. It's fortunate he can plan contingencies because if luck is involved - they need them. He need only mention the worst case scenario and that's what they're faced with.

CRAU Developments: Senku learned conversational Dutch out of spite. He has been brute forcing the language learning just like he did English, from an English-Dutch dictionary.

After trying unsuccessfully for months to find a teacher, he was finally gifted a text called Turning Math Into Magic, which detailed a very intricate system of high level mathematical formulae and how to use them to focus his energies into magic. The book contained no more than a few example spells, but rather taught how to create spells. Spells can be as intricate or lacklustre as the magician sees fit as each component requires a different part in the formula to work. The math is used as a focus instead of something more basic as a wand and spell creation requires forethought.

There is no limitation to what kind of spells one create, it just requires intricate, detailed thought.

It took Senku two weeks to learn the system. He has been building his mana since then through practice and use. As his mana grows, the limitations on the spells will lift over time. Basic spell creation takes roughly two weeks of IC time to design and begin practicing the basics. Each level of finesse/boost to what he can do takes an additional two weeks of IC time. (ex. Healing I, Healing II, Healing III)

    Current Spells:

Healing: Components include a pale blue light, a sensation of cooling, numbing the wound area for painless healing, blood replenishment, painkilling, leaving behind an energized feeling instead of being completely worn out.

Healing I - Minor cuts and burns. (Currently unlimited in a 24 hour period)
Healing II - Serious injuries like broken bones, but not critical. (Limited to 10 in a 24 hour period)
Healing III - Critical injuries/fatal injuries. (Limited to 3 in a 24 hours period)
Senku can also pinpoint his magic to injuries so instead of a blanket fix, he can target specific body parts/systems thanks to his strong medical background (ie. a migraine). This increases his limits by two if he can pinpoint his powers.

Shield: Components include a silvery, transluscent shield to be manifested, strength and protection against projectiles, flames, attacks and magic.

Shield I - This shield covers a maximum of Senku and someone else. It protects against basic attacks, and requires it be attached to Senku. (No limits - but it is a concentration spell and if he loses focus he loses the shield.)

Enchanting: Components include deriving properties out of items to create potions, medicines and droughts, applying magic spells to items so they can be used by a layperson.

Enchant I - Properties can be derived out of existing items to create potions, medicines and droughts. (ex. Aloe can be used to make a salve to treat burn wounds, at the level of a Healing I spell.) (Limited to 3 in a week)

Senku would like to continue to evolve and create spells within his magical system, as well as refine the spells he's already begun to focus on.

If any of these spells are too powerful and/or there are magics that you might find gamebreaking, I'm more than happy to impose limits.

    Canon: Dr. Stone (Manga)
    Canon Point: Chapter 175
    Age: 3739 (Looks 20)

    Background: Wiki Link Here

    Personality:

Senku is a very pragmatic, logically minded individual.

    Powers:

Senku has exactly zero powers, he's an incredibly normal human. However, Senku has a great deal of skills he brings to the table. Senku's intelligence and knowledge is incredibly high. He's a walking science textbook. He's studied diligently chemistry, engineering, physics, biology, mathematics, geology and knows how to apply them all. He understand science to the degree he knows every component of everything he knows to the molecule. His high intelligence and analytical mind allows him to be good at tactics, planning and foresight. He's rarely without some kind of contingency plan. He is confirmed to speak Japanese and English, so he's a least bilingual. It seems incredibly likely he also speaks Russian.

He has been a practicing doctor for roughly four years.

He is capable of using science to create gadgets from the very basic blocks, as inelegant as they are, they work. He doesn't have the finesse of a craftsman.

In exchange for the intelligence and focus on knowledge, his stamina and physicality is extremely low for a regular modern teenager. He seems to get physically exhausted quickly and short of breath throughout most of the excursions they undertake.

Senku has extremely bad luck. It's fortunate he can plan contingencies because if luck is involved - they need them. He need only mention the worst case scenario and that's what they're faced with.

    Key themes:

The importance of knowledge, ingenuity and adaptation. Senku has spent most of his life, driven with a thirst for knowledge. When he was about six years old, he decided he was going to space and spent the rest of his life in the past, about ten years, studying every facet of science he could get, to be prepared for any scenario. He spent much of his formative years applying his scientific knowledge to new inventions, like the suit for his father, and all of this knowledge came in handy when society collapsed and he is in the process of pushing humanity from the stone age to the modern era. He has taken modern ideas and adapted them to the world around him.

    Main Motivation:

The short answer to what drives Senku is science. Since he was a very young child, he decided he wanted to be an astronaut and to accomplish this in the least amount of time, he devoured every book, every bit of scientific knowledge he could get. This had always been his goal, however because of the worldwide petrification, he has a shorter term goal to use science to revive every single human, and fast track the evolution of man from the stone age to the modern age in record time, with the power and knowledge of science.

Senku's intelligence and knowledge is incredibly high. He's a walking science textbook. Class: I think Senku's best choices of the options would be Mystic. While he's often wise and intelligent, if he does miss something he can usually pivot and change course since he's adaptable. He's not strong physically, and he's incredibly squishy, even in canon. He does enjoy looking at the bigger picture, and does his best to plan for the best ways to get there.

[He speaks in an unwavering, unaffected tone, his hands on his hips in a way that it looks like his fingertips are barely touching them.]

All we've got to do is save this world, right? [He smirks slightly.]

I don't have one millimeter of interest in magic or nonsense that can't be explained. Everything can be explained. This corrosion must have a reason and there must be rules to it since some people are immune to it.

[He exhales and looks less like someone who might be worried and someone who's completely, overwhelmingly excited. Senku's eyes were alight and he grinned broader.] Time to do some research.

    Third Person Sample:

Senku found himself lying in the grass, looking up at the stars. For most of his life, they offered him a goal and a dream to strive for, and then fate seemed to want to deny him his only wish. He wasn’t going to put up with it. One way or another, he was intending on exploring that vast beauty for himself.

This downtime was incredibly unusual these days, what with the hustle and bustle of looking after a community of people in his care. He always had at least one project on the go, if not several at once. He would need to find something new to mess with, because he wasn’t the kind of person who could just sit idle. He could start with figuring out what the differences are between his world and this one.

I wonder how this night sky differs from the one on Earth? He smirked slightly at the thought. He would love to know. How many planets are in this solar system? Is there life out there? Wouldn’t it be amazing to visit two versions of space?

He let out a sigh, considering as always, his options. He could attempt to start over again from scratch, in an unfamiliar place, with knowledge that may not exactly match this new world, or he could give up. Yeah, right.

“The possibilities.” Senku grinned. “Are exhilarating.”
